What we do
Renewables and storage decisions for an industrial facility are procurement decisions first: they succeed or fail on tariff treatment, market economics, and contract structure. Harper Advisory advises industrial buyers on technology and site feasibility, Private-Use-Network (PUN) configuration, behind-the-meter battery energy storage (BESS) analysis, RFP development and management, developer and vendor proposal assessment, tariff and market savings quantification, RPS compliance strategy, and commercial negotiation through project execution.
Current representative work includes advising a major steelmaker on behind-the-meter BESS feasibility and procurement in PJM, renewable procurement strategy for a large industrial manufacturer evaluating green tariff, direct PPA, and behind-the-meter structures, and microgrid design for a greenfield industrial facility.
Why an independent advisor
We sit on the buyer's side of the table only. Harper Advisory does not develop projects or sell equipment, so feasibility findings, savings quantification, and proposal assessments carry no development agenda. The team pairs commercial negotiators with data analysts who model project economics against the client's actual interval load data and applicable tariffs.
Facing a related regulatory or commercial question? Harper Advisory works with a focused number of large industrial energy users across ERCOT, CAISO, PJM, and other US markets.
